My name is Jon Bush and I live, work, and hunt in Western Wyoming. My family and I have been hunting big game in this area for decades and have racked up enough hunting stories to provide fireside entertainment for years to come. I am grateful to be surrounded by so many friends and family who share the same enthusiasm for the outdoors as I do. I have been a fan of the Intrepid Outdoors hunting program since its inception and I am honored to be a part of it. This is a unique program that illustrates the hunt for Rocky Mountain big game in its truest form.
Like most people who live in Western Wyoming, I am proud to work in the oil and gas industry. It has provided my family with a comfortable living for over ten years now. I appreciate the efforts of the Intrepid Outdoors program to voice the opinions of those who would be directly affected by the impact of oil and gas development. We take pride in the responsible development of our natural resources and when we’re not doing so, we’re out hunting and fishing in the same areas in which we work. The debate between oil and gas development and the impact it has on our big game has led to many untrue statements that are proven false by much of the footage on this program. In fact, many of the Pro Staff and the talented hunters on the program work in the oil and gas industry.
The Intrepid Outdoors Pro Staff consists of a diverse group of experts whose experience and knowledge can entertain the seasoned hunter and help the novice hone his skill set. My area of expertise is archery hunting for Rocky Mountain big game. Growing up with my family, the kids had no choice but to enjoy archery. Every summer was filled with 3-D shoots and every winter with league target practice. Archery soon turned into a passion for me and chasing big game in the fall became a necessity. Although I haven’t taken big game every single season, the animals have taught me something new on each and every hunt. I live for the excitement and the challenge of a fair chase hunt and I look forward to sharing mine with you.
